I am an associate professor of Sociology. My interest includes Race and Ethnicity Theory, African American History, African Diaspora, Urban Theory, Urban Citizenship, and Popular Culture. I have an M.A in African American history from University of California, Riverside. My MPhil and PhD in Sociology are both from Trinity College Dublin. My recent research focuses on Nigerian urban identity in Los Angeles, California and Dublin, Ireland.
